Project objective: With GeoWel Research, provide a baseline assessment for Stabilization and Integration of IDPs into mainstream Georgian Society Project (SIIMS) through gathering comprehensive information on the social and economic conditions of the IDP communities with the focus on agriculture, business development, opportunities for women and the nature of local civil society and schooling.
Research design: A review of the existing research on IDPs. Representative survey of post-August 2008 IDP communities and adjacent areas. Structured interviews and focus groups in Shida Kartli and Kvemo Kartli.
Output: Dataset, Baseline Assessment Report in English and Georgian.
